Job Description

SUMMARY

Ensure the stability and integrity of in-house voice, data, video, and wireless network services. Responsible for the installation, monitoring, maintenance, support, and optimization of all network hardware, software, and communication links.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Includes the following:

• Diagnoses issues and performs minor repairs to telecommunication equipment.
• Assists with maintaining documentation as it relates to network configuration, network mapping, processes, and service records.
• Practices network asset management including maintenance of network component inventory and related documentation and technical specifications information.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY/MANAGEMENT AUTHORITY

No supervisory/management authority.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Associate's Degree and 2 to 4 years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. CCENT certification preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
• Working knowledge of company policies and procedures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills including attention to detail.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to conduct research into networking issues and products and provide recommendations.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver's license.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work may be performed in a variety of settings, including climate-controlled office settings and casino floors which includes exposure to second-hand smoke and crowd noise. Work may require travel, including overnight stays. Work will require varied shifts including, weekends and holidays, as needed (on call).
